Looming Global Industrial Slowdown: US Implications

With job growth firming steadily and the jobless rate falling faster than in the last two recessions, the U.S. economic recovery finally appears to be on a solid footing. Many therefore believe that growth will continue to accelerate. Is this view warranted?

ECRI has just completed its latest analysis of the cyclical outlook for U.S. economic growth. A global industrial slowdown is now looming, as heralded by ECRI's global long leading indicators as early as last January. In that context, ECRI's new report assesses the threats to the U.S. recovery.
