Prospects for Brazilian and Canadian Exports

While Canada and Brazil differ in many significant ways, both are major primary-product exporters, reliant on global demand to support their trade-dependent resource industries. Their major trading partners differ too, with Canada trading more with the U.S. and Brazil exporting more to China, but there are collective attributes that make it possible to jointly assess exports growth prospects for both.

ECRI’s latest report presents a global indicator which predicts cyclical moves in primary products export growth for Brazil and Canada, with a clear message for its cyclical direction in the months ahead.
