Global Growth and Inflation Prospects

The Fed’s decision not to “taper” came as a shock to analysts around the world, largely because the consensus view on global economic growth has been relatively positive. A key part of that thesis was based on the assumption of U.S. economic strength.

Yet major central banks, in Washington and around the world, are still pressing hard on the quantitative-easing gas.
