Can Exports Revive Slowing Mexican Recovery?

Exports provided much of the boost that kick-started the current Mexican recovery, but it has lost some steam, and economists surveyed by the Bank of Mexico recently trimmed growth forecasts for this year and the next. Still, year-over-year growth in real exports has risen to a two-year high. So, can exports keep this recovery going?

ECRI’s latest analysis, including the Mexican Leading Exports Index, answers this question, clarifying whether exports can continue to continue to grow and, in turn, prolong the economic recovery.
