A measure of future U.S. economic growth fell slightly in the latest week, while its annualized growth rate rose to the highest level since late May, a research group said on Friday.

The Economic Cycle Research Institute, a New York-based independent forecasting group, said its Weekly Leading Index dipped to 129.5 in the week ended Feb. 11 from 130.2 the previous week.

The index's annualized growth rate rose to 4.9 percent from 4.6 percent a week earlier, originally reported as 4.5 percent. It was the highest level since the week ended May 21 2010.
