...The Economic Cycle Research Institute, an independent forecasting group, said its weekly leading index rose to 136.9 in the week ended
July 7 from a downwardly revised 136.4 a week earlier. It was originally pegged at 136.8.

"With WLI growth continuing to slide, U.S. economic growth is likely to ease in the coming months," said Melinda Hubman, a research
associate at ECRI.

The index's annualized growth rate fell to 0.2. percent in the latest week, compared with a downwardly revised 0.4 percent in the prior
week. It was originally pegged at 0.9 percent.
