U.S. Weekly Leading Index Growth Eases


The ECRI's leading U.S. index rose 0.3 points to 135.8 in the week ended Aug. 1. The ECRI (Economic Cycle Research Institute) added that 4-week annualized growth cooled to 3.8%, the lowest in nearly 4 months, from 4.1% in the prior week and a recent peak of 5.3% in the May 23 week.
