ECRI has just released its latest cyclical outlook for the global economy, as well as detailed forecasts for 19 economies.
While everyone’s attention is focused on the slowing U.S. economy, there are undeniable signs that a global growth slowdown is taking hold. Meanwhile, consumer price inflation in the U.S. and abroad has risen in recent months. ECRI’s analysis, which warned of slowing global growth as early as last July, examines the drivers of the recent surge in inflation to assess the potential for stagflation in the U.S.
